his session aimed to strengthen agropreneurship among students, support sustainable agribusiness development, and expose participants to smart farming practices.

Highlights:

• 20 students participated in the seedling session.

• 250 corn seedlings were successfully planted.

• Students also gained hands-on experience planting rock melon seedlings in a greenhouse.

• Corn crops are expected to be harvested in 65 days.

• The session was supported by CGEE directors, staff, and INSAT representatives.

UniMAP’s Madani Barber: Gunting Rambut Orang (GRO) Barbershop project successfully advanced to the finals of Category E: Social Entrepreneurship Project Award at the Ministry of Higher Education Entrepreneurial Awards (AKKPT) 2023.

UniMAP’s Madani Barber – Gunting Rambut Orang (GRO) project won 3rd place in the Social Entrepreneurship category at the Ministry of Higher Education Entrepreneurial Awards (AKKPT) 2023, receiving a trophy and RM10,000. The award ceremony was officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education.

Attending the event were UniMAP Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Zaliman Sauli, CGEE Director PM Dr. Mohd Najmuddin Mohd Hassan, and Deputy Director Dr. Rozilawati Mahadi (project mentor). The winning project was managed by Mohamad Syahrin bin Ismail (FTKK) with team members Muhammad Isyhraq Akif bin Juhari (FTKK), Muhammad Razien Rosyaidie bin Sharif (FPK), and Muhammad Thoyib Mohd Fadil (FPK).

Congratulations to the team for this achievement, which further strengthens UniMAP’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.

• A total of 135 corn cobs were harvested by UniMAP students and CGEE staff from three planting beds.

• Participants also visited areas for rock melon cultivation, oyster mushroom farming, and fish breeding (siakap & kelah).

• The harvest took place after a 45-day growth period.

• The event was attended by CGEE directors, staff, and representatives from INSAT.

• Students gained hands-on experience in planting and learned about marketing strategies for rock melon produce.

• The harvest was carried out after a 45-day cultivation period.

• YBhg. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Mustafa Al Bakri bin Abdullah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (HEPA & Alumni), joined students, CGEE, and INSAT staff during the harvesting session.

Yayasan Axiata, in collaboration with CelcomDigi, organized the Axiata Digital Leaders Programme (ADLP) for Girls 2024 — an initiative to empower female university students to become future digital leaders.

The first online session began with a launch on 30 March 2024, followed by learning classes with CADS on 6 and 20 April 2024. A total of 72 participants from nine public universities (UM, UKM, USM, UPM, UTM, UniMAP, UTeM, UTHM, and UMPSA) joined the second phase (bootcamp) held from 3–9 May 2024, which concluded with final project presentations and a Graduation Ceremony on 9 May 2024.

The Axiata Digital Leaders Programme (ADLP) for Girls 2024 is an initiative by Yayasan Axiata in collaboration with the Centre of Applied Data Science (CADS), aimed at nurturing future female digital leaders in Malaysia. The program equips participants with leadership and digital skills to thrive in today’s digital era.

This bootcamp session follows the earlier online learning sessions held on 6 and 20 April 2024. A total of 72 participants from nine public universities (UA) took part, including eight UniMAP students from the Faculty of Business and Communication (FPK) — Siti Noor Aisyah Mohamad, Aida Natasya Yusof, Syarah Shamira Ahmad, Nur Fitri Rahman, Ain Natasya Mohd Sibe, Jenny Tan, Siti Noor Fazillah Mohd Ali, and Vasagi A/P Paramasivam.

Through this program, participants gained exposure to leadership and digital skills such as Data Analytics, Data Storytelling, Power BI, Design Thinking, Smart Skill Module, and Elevator Speech. The graduation ceremony was held on 9 May 2024.

The National Engineering Students' Convention 2025 (NESC 2025) is your essential platform for gaining the latest industry exposure. The held at the Auditorium Hall, USM Engineering Campus.
It emphasizes preparing graduates for the future workforce. Key discussions will cover how graduates must master the ABC elements (Attitude, Behavior, Competency) alongside technical skills to meet industry demands. Furthermore, the convention focuses on reinforcing the STEM culture and strengthening university-industry relationships through internships and proposed 'gap year' programs.

Harumanis Fun Run 2025, organized by FAMA Perlis with Koperasi YA Harumanis, gathered nearly 300 participants nationwide to promote Harumanis mango and local agro-tourism.

UniMAP was represented by 25 students from Kolej Simpang Ampat & Kolej Uniciti, joined by CGEE Deputy Director, Dr. Nor Faizah Bawadi. The 5KM run not only encouraged a healthy lifestyle but also rewarded participants with medals and certificates.

The event was enlivened with Harumanis sales, agro-product booths, exhibitions, orchard visits, lucky draws, and exclusive vouchers for Agrobazaar Online.
